PURPOSE:To relieve the burden of the user from the standpoint of installation space and cost by designing the titled telephone set that an accessory function such as a loudspeaker function or an abbreviated dial function is added or omitted as required. CONSTITUTION:A telephone unit 1 consists of a telephone set main body 11 performing dialing and talking operation as the basic telephone function and a handset 12. An abbreviated dial unit 2 has an RAM storing an opposite telephone number, reads a corresponding telephone number from the RAM through the operation of a button 21 to drive an abbreviated dial function. The loudspeaker unit 3 is incorporated with a speaker 31. The accessory units 2, 3 are selectively electrically and mechanically connected to the telephone unit 1.
