PURPOSE:To get smooth starting and running on the slippy road surface of a snowy road by shifting the clutch to the half disengaged position, when the difference of the number of revolutions between any selected ones of wheels is above a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:An microcomputer 21 which constitutes an arithmetic unit of an automatic transmission is connected at the input side to four revolution detecting sensors 31-34, which are adapted for detecting the numbers of revolutions of wheels 35-38. It is discriminated whether the difference between the numbers of revolutions calculated above is above a predetermined value. If it is above the predetermined value, the microcomputer 21 discriminates by the output detected by a clutch sensor 29 whether the transmission 15 is on starting operation or engaging of the clutch is completed, and when it is discriminated that the clutch is engaged and starting operation is not executed, a fuel control actuator 20 is operated to reduce the supply and thereby to shift the clutch to the half-disengaged position. |
