PURPOSE:To effectively put dehydration capacity to practical use, by reading the solid component of sludge supplied to a dehydrator by the change in the current of the differential speed electromotor of the dehydrator and changing a differential speed or a sludge supply amount. CONSTITUTION:A differential speed control part 9 controls the number of rotations of a differential speed electromotor 4 through an eddy current joint 5 so as to set the same to that of a screw mechanism 2 for realizing the differential speed objective value imparted from a differential speed setting part 10. That is, a differential speed comparing and judge part 12 judges whether the current signal obtained from the current transformer 11 for detecting the current of the differential speed electromotor 4 is out of the rated current value of the differential speed electromotor 4. When said current signal 11 is equal to or less than the rated current value, a soid concn. control part 13 imparts a set value to the differential speed setting part 10 in a form proportional to the current obtained in the current value, the sludge supply objective value of a sludge supply pump 7 is changed in the direction for lowering the supply amount to a flow amount object variable part 14 and the control of the supply amount is performed by a flow amount control part 15.
