<p>PURPOSE:To accurately estimate the deterioration of the packing agent in an apparatus main body by measuring the adsorbing amount of the packing agent received in a small container, by providing a small container to the downstream side of an apparatus packed with the packing agent and packing the said container with the same packing agent. CONSTITUTION:In an apparatus main body wherein a container 1 is packed with a packing agent, when gas is flowed into the lower part of the container 1, a harmful component is adsorbed by the packing agent 2. Because the harmful component not adsorbed by the main body is slightly contained in the gas flowed out from said main body, a detector 7 adsorbs said harmful component. However, because a large amount of the harmful component is adsorbed by the main body, the adsorbing capacity of the detector 7 is not deteriorated. When the adsorbing capacity of the adsorbent in the main body beings to deteriorate, the outflow amount of the harmful component to the detector 7 gradually increases and, because of a small amount of the packing agent in the detector, the deterioration thereof becomes abrupt. The deterioration of the packing agent in the main body is estimated by grasping said change and the packing agent in the main body is replaced. By this method, the proper replacement period of the packing agent can be grasped.</p> |
