PURPOSE:To carry out an image communication suitable for a communication end by disposing a means for setting a communication mode in accordance with a communication end by a communication end recognition code registering means and an information memory means. CONSTITUTION:In an usual case, a telephone line 2a is connected to a telephone set 3, and when a change-over command signal is outputted to a network control circuit NCU2 through a signal line 1a from a control circuit 1, the line 2a is connected to a hybrid circuit 4. When the line 2a is connected to the circuit 4, and the change-over command signal is outputted to the NCU2 from the circuit 1, the line 2a is connected to the telephone set 3. In an operating circuit 16, the operation of the device is done, and a registration of an information in accordance with a dial number code and a dial number is done. In this case, a RAM18 stores an operation program of a CPU and in a ROM19, the information according to the dial code and the dial number code is stored.
