RADIATOR HAVING SUPERIOR CORROSION RESISTANCE AND ITS MANUFACTURE

摘要

PURPOSE:To manufacture a radiator having superior corrosion resistance by boiling a Cu or Cu alloy radiator for a proper time in an aqueous soln. contg. sodium hydroxide and potassium persulfate each at a specified concn. to form uniform copper oxide film. CONSTITUTION:A radiator composed of Cu or Cu alloy parts is boiled for 20sec-10min in an aqueous soln. contg. 10-100g/l sodium hydroxide and 100Angstrom -10mum thickness or a uniform film consisting of copper oxide and the oxide of the added alloying element on the surface of the radiator. The corrosion resistance of the radiator is improved by the oxide film, and the oxide film does not interfere with the assembling of the radiator.
