PURPOSE:To enable an operator to grasp the position of a cursor through the palm of his hand by comparing the setting position information of an area information register with the cursor position information of a cursor position register and applying an oscillation signal to a mouth on the basis of the compared output. CONSTITUTION:A position information signal 41 is generated from a mouth position detector 31 in accordance with the movement of the mouth 3 and sent to a cursor position register 22 in a control device 2 to update the cursor position information. The device 2 sends the cursor position information to a display device 1 as a cursor position signal 43 to display the cursor on the display screen. Inhibition area information in an area information register 21 is compared with the cursor position information in the register 22 to decide whether the cursor position information is in a character inhibition area or an effective area. A signal corresponding to the compared result is applied to an oscillation element 32 as a vibration signal 44 and vibration corresponding to the signal 44 is applied to the mouth 3. Consequently, whether the current cursor position is in the valid area or the invalid area can be detected by putting the operator's hand on the mouth 3.
