PURPOSE:To display state information without delay by informing the detection of a fault or urgent state change to a service processor on the basis of interruption at the time of the detection by a logical device. CONSTITUTION:When a fault generated from a logical circuit 10' is detected by a fault detecting circuit 30', the circuit 30' sets up the fault information in a state holding register 20 and generates an interruption in the service processor 50'. When a state informing circuit 40' detects the state change of the circuit 10' similarly, the circuit 40' sets up the state change information in the register 20, and if the information is highly urgent state information, informs the detection to the circuit 30'. Receiving the report, the circuit 30' generates an interruption in the processor 50. Detecting the interruption from the device 10' by its interruption detecting circuit 80, the processor 50' immediately reads out the contents of the register 20 through a reading circuit 60, analyzes the read information and displays a message on a display device 70.
