PURPOSE:To enable transfer of heat for a long distance by maintaining the temperature of a main heat pipe at a specified value, by a method wherein the title heat pipe is of a double pipe structure in that an outer heat pipe is located to the outside of a main heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:The title heat pipe comprises a main heat pipe 1 which has a wick constituting member 3 in an internal space 5 of a container filled with working fluid, an outer pipe 6 which is located outside the main heat pipe 1, is connected in an enclosed manner to the outer peripheral surface of the main heat pipe, and has length shorter than that of the main heat pipe, and ann outer heat pipe 2 which is formed such that an enclosed space 8 between the outer pipe 6 and the main heat pipe 1 is filled with working fluid. This constitution enables a wick to be easily formed in a long pipe, and permits provision of a heat pipe which permits heat to be transferred for a long distance. |
