PURPOSE:To make simple a constitution at the receiving side and to improve respective types of output processing speeds by generating and transmitting the transmitting data, matching with the data format at a transmitting equipment side. CONSTITUTION:A work station WS converts all data transmitted to an image printer IPR to an image format corresponding to the function of a printer IPR. Thus, before the data are transmitted, a device function at the receiving side is decided at the transmitting side beforehand, a format of the data is converted and transmitted at the transmitting side corresponding to the function and therefore, it is not necessary to convert the data at the receiving side.
