PURPOSE:To restrict a smear mixing in a signal, a pseudo-signal in a dark current and a noise of a fixed pattern by taking a differential of the first and the second signals obtained by conducting a horizontal switch element at a pulse timing and taking out the third signal. CONSTITUTION:An OY pulse is applied to a vertical gate line 3, two lines of image elements 1-1, 1-2..., 2-1, 2-2... are selected. For instance, when during a period t1, a signal of the image element 2-1, in an output out 6, an image signal S1, a noise by a smear, a noise by a dark current, and a fixed pattern noise are contained. During a period t2, the same image element 2-1 is selected again, and since the signal S1 is not accumulated, only noise is contained in an output out 7. Thereafter, the output of the out 6 is delayed by a time t1 by the use of a delay element 42. When taking a difference between the delayed output of the out 6 and the out 7 by using a differential amplifier 43, in an out 8, only a signal S1 having various noises removed is taken out.
