PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-resistance high-strength Al alloy having superior heat resistance and hot forgeability by adding specified amounts of Si, Fe, Cu, Mg and Co to Al. CONSTITUTION:This Al alloy consists of 10-30% Si, 4-33% Fe, 0.8-7.5% Cu, 0.5-3.5% Mg, 0.5-3.0% Co and the balance Al. The alloy may further contain at least one among 1.5-5.0% Mn, 0.5-10.0% Zn and 1.0-5.0% Li. The Al alloy has superior strength and forgeability at 150-200 deg.C high temp., so it is suitable for use as a material for a piston and a con'rod as parts for an internal-combustion engine.
