In order to temporarily clamp part of a tool (1) on a tool holder (2), the tool part is equipped with a freely projectable locking pin (6) that can be inserted through a guide hole (26) in the tool holder's support surface (20) in order to be held in place by radially moveable locking jaws (37) that are spring-actuated towards an engagement position designed to work with the locking pin. A release pin (41) that can be operated via compressed medium is used to move the locking jaws out of the engagement position and to push out the locking pin when the tool part is to be released.
