PURPOSE:To obtain a silver halide photographic sensitive material with little fog by incorporating a compound reacting with aldehyde into at least one layer among base materials for the support of a photosensitive material, a cured coating layer and a photographic constituent layer. CONSTITUTION:At least one side of the base material for the support is coated with and electron beam-curing composition, and the composition is cured with electron beams to produce the photographic support having the coating layer. At least one photographic constituent layer contg. a silver halide emulsion is then formed on the coating layer to obtain a photosensitive material. At least one layer among the base material, the cured coating layer and the photographic constituent layer contains a compound reacting with aldehyde. Any compound reacting with aldehyde may be used as the compound reacting with aldehyde unless it exerts no harmful influence on the photographic characteristics. The compound may be incorporated into an auxiliary layer such as underlayer, a backing layer or an intermediate layer, but it is preferable that the base material or the cured coating layer contains the compound. The compound may be incorporated into plural layers. |
