PURPOSE:For manufacturing Mannesman type seamless steel pipe, perforatin burr stuck in the backward end of a hollow shell formed by billet perforation and rolling, is removed beforehand. By doint so, the production of bitt and roll scratch can be avioded. CONSTITUTION:In the backward end of a hollow shell 1 formed by perforation and rolling of billet of steel pipe, a burr 2 in the form of a ring is produced. This burr 2 causes the production of bitt scratch when it falls during rolling and pipe polishing process or is stamped taken into the inside of pipe for connection. For avoiding this, the burr 2 is removed by a perforation burr removing device. This device works in such a manner that a pusher head 4 which follows the rotation of the hollow shell 1, is installed and it touches with the backward end of the hollow shell 1. By doing so, the burr 2 can be removed by a cutting blade 5 of the head 4. |
