In a coupling sleeve for pipes, which consists of a rubberelastic sealing ring and a clamping ring encircling the sealing ring, on the ends of which clamping ring are attached parts having clamping elements directed outward and located opposite one another, the gap between the clamping elements is bridged by a sheet-metal part which sits against the outer side of the clamping ring and, like the clamping ring itself also has radially inwardly directed flanges at side edges and, at the overlapping point with the end of the clamping ring, fits between the flanges of the clamping ring. The sheet-metal part is formed by an end portion of the clamping ring which has a longitudinal slot which extends up to an end of the end portion and, in turn opens at its inner end into a transverse slot. It is an advantage of the invention that by bending the sections separated by the longitudinal gap a certain sealing contact of the metal end sections of the clamping sleeve against each other is possible. It is advantageous especially if the pipes to be linked have different diameters. |
