PURPOSE:To form colored engraving (mark) letter or marks by irradiating laser beam focused into a given latter or mark through a color film onto an object to be printed by using a marking mask. CONSTITUTION:A white object 5 (e.g., semiconductor luminous displayer) is fed and set in a printing section a, and the printing face of the object 5 is covered with a color film rolled from a film supplier B. Laser beam 9 from a laser oscillator 1 is focused into a given dimension and shape through a marking mask 3 with a given optical path and focusing lenses 2 and 4 and irradiated onto the printing face of the object 5 through the film 7 to form a letter or mark engraving. In this case, the film 7 above the engraving is melted by the laser beam 9 and coupled with the engraving portion. |
