PURPOSE:To provide a titled chaplet which prevents surely the positional deviation of cores by constituting the chaplet of a thermally expendable material and providing hole parts for positioning to be fitted to the bore forming parts of a successively provided bore core body and fitting parts for positioning to be fitted to water jacket cores to said chaplet. CONSTITUTION:The core for casting a cylinder block is constituted of the successively provided bore core body 7 provided successively with plural pieces of the bore cores each consisting of the bore forming part 8 and a crank case forming part 9 and the water jacket cores 2 to be inserted between the parts 8 and a matrix 11. The chaplet 12 for positioning said core is formed of a foamed resin, casting material, etc. which are expended by the heat of a molten metal and is so disposed as to have the prescribed inter-bore pitch. Plural pieces of the hole parts 13 for positioning to fit surely into the base part of the respective parts 8 and the fitting parts 14 for positioning to attain a sure socket and spigot fit to the base of the water jacket cores 2 inserted therein are provided to said chaplet. The positional deviation between the cores 1 and the cores 2 with respect thereto is thus prevented. |
