PURPOSE:To perform recording and reproducing for plural tracks by forming plural head cores, which are capable of recording and reproducing independently of one another, in the track width direction of a recording medium as one body and setting relations of the pitch between head cores to that between tracks to prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A floating magnetic head body 1 is attached to an actuator (omitted in the figure), which is moved in the radial direction of a magnetic disc (omitted in the figure) of a broken-line arrow, through a supporting spring 3, and slider parts 5 floated to the disc surface are provided in both side parts in the recording medium radial direction of the head body 1 in the disc running direction of a solid-line arrow, and a center rail 7 is formed in the center part similarly. Gaps 9 are formed in right ends of slider parts 5 and the center rail 7, and head cores 11 are formed in the head body 1 as one body, and windings 13 are wound around head cores 11. A pitch Tp of tracks on the disc is normally constant; and in this example where one head has three head cores, the pitch Tp of tracks and a pitch Cp of head cores have relations expressed by a formula. |
