PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a material with a long size to be delivered by installing 2 pressure sensitive means constantly touch the long material between the support means and delivery means and stopping the operation of the delivery means upon sensing that the tension developed in the long material exceeds a predetermined magnitude. CONSTITUTION:In a device for producing tire reinforcing cords, multiple bobbins 2 supported on creel stands 1 produce a cord 3 continuously to be gathered by lease rods 13 and 14. The cords 3 from the lease rods are then adjusted to a constant spacing between them by a back reed 4 and guided to get wound about a delivery roll 12 through a guide roll 15. Preferably, pressure sensitive means 11 is provided between the creel stands 1 and back reed 4, more preferably, between the lease rods 13 and 14 and has a pressure sensitive element 20 fixed on the surface of two base plates 19 which are disposed such that the spacing between them can be adjustable. Thus, the pressure sensitive means stops the delivery roll 12 when the tension in the cords 3 exceeds a predetermined magnitude. |
