摘要 PURPOSE:To enable to perform a proper intermediate processing in accordance with sorts and purpose of an image by dissolving threshold matrix into multi- layer matrix, deciding element value of each layer on the basis of the element value of an original matrix, comparing said value with the element value of an original image. CONSTITUTION:Optional dot organization which either of resolution or gradation is regarded as important is given to the character of the prototype by setting the threshold value in a multi layer against the organized dither to be the proto type, and quality of image can be controlled as synthesis of those ones. Replacing the threshold value matrix obtained in such a way with the ordinary dither matrix, and comparing the threshold value matrix with picture element value of the original image as all the same as usual, binarized indication becomes possible by converting the compared result into binarized signal '1' or '0'. In general, when the proto type matrix or NXM element is supposed, it is easy to expand up to multi layer dither of K=nXm layer having the element in nNXmM. Thus, as the result, the threshold matrix can be brought together into a piece of matrix composed of nNXmM.
