PURPOSE:To bond firmly a fibrous material to rubbers, by vulcanizing and bonding rubberr to a polyester or arom. polyamide fiber material which has been subjected to a specified treatment. CONSTITUTION:A polyester or arom. polyamide fiber material is immersed in a first treating soln. consisting of am OH group-contg. polyepoxy compd. having an average MW of 250-800 and an epoxy equivalent of 80-130 and an epoxy compd. contg. unsaturated bonds, heat-treated at 220-240 deg.C, immersed in a second treating soln. consisting of a resorcinol/formalin latex mixture (e.g.chlorosulfonated polyethylene rubber latex) and heat-treated at 100-230 deg.C. The resulting fiber material is laminated on a rubber contg. a vulcanizing agent, a vulcanization accelerator, etc., and the laminate is vulcanized at 130-160 deg.C under pressure for several min to 2hr to bond them to each other. |
