PURPOSE:A peelably treated layer with excellent balance between adhesion and peelability, obtd. by treatment with a peelably treating agent comprising a soln. of a water-soluble polyester resin, a specified long-chain alkyl compd. and a copolymer of a carboxyl group-contg. monomer in a solvent. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. water-soluble polyester resin, 5-100pts.wt. ethyleneurea group or N-methylol group-contg. long-chain alkyl compd. such as octadecyl ethyleneurea or N-methylol higher batty acid amide, 30-300pts.wt. copolymer of a carboxyl group-contg. monomer such as acrylic or crotonic acid and another monomer such as ethyl acrylate or vinyl acetate, and a liquid medium such as water are mixed to prepare a peelably treating agent. Then the treating agent is applied to a substrate such a polyester film and heated to form the aimed three-component peelably treated layer.
