LOADING SYSTEM FOR CONTROL PROGRAM OF SYSTEM CONSTITUTION DEVICE TYPE

PURPOSE:To attain an easy, quick and accurate loading system for control program by transmitting a command for detection of the printer type from a main body device to give the type name of the printer as an answer and selecting a PRT-FCP corresponding to the device type name obtained at an identification part within an initializer to load it on a memory. CONSTITUTION:In a system loading more, an initializer 3 transmits an inquiry command (1) for device type to a printer 7. The printer 7 confirms the command (1) through a device type control program (incorporated into a memory ROM8) stored in each printer 7 and gives a response (2) in the from of the device type name stored in a device type data store part 6. An identification part 9 retrieves and reads the corresponding one of PRT-FCP1-PRT-FCPn stored in a disk file 2 through a device type data store part 6 and the response (2). Then the selected PRT-FCP is loaded (3) on a memory RAM5.
