The invention relates to the field of packaging and its subject is a device for integrated heating in particular for food trays, in which the heating is provided by the heat given out by an exothermic reaction. The device comprises an upper element 10 and a lower element 12 which can be fitted into one another. The upper element consists of an upper compartment 18 designed to receive the object to be heated and of a lower compartment 22 containing a first reagent. The lower element comprises a compartment containing the second reagent. A cross-piece 38 situated between the elements 10 and 12 enables, by pressure, the compartment 18 to communicate with the compartment 22 and to thus trigger the exothermic reaction. <IMAGE>
