PURPOSE:To prevent a grindstone from suffering from loading by applying conductive fluid between a grindstone side and a fitting stand side for a workpiece to send an electric current between them, and providing a means to electrify cut dust produced simultaneously with the grinding process, in the same polarity as that of the grindstone to separate and extract cut dust from the grindstone. CONSTITUTION:Conductive fluid 4 is applied between a grindstone 1 and a fitting stand 2 for a workpiece 3 by supplying water or an electrolytic solution as a grinding solution to a surface to be processed. An electric current is sent toward the grindstone fluid 4. In this condition, while the workpiece 3 is ground by the grindstone 1, cut dust 5 produced with this grinding process is electrified by the electric current to the same polarity as that of the grindstone 1, and separated from the stone 1. The isolated cut dust 5 is swept away from the grindstone 1 and the workpiece 3 on the fitting stand 2 by flowing pressure of the conductive fluid 4. As the result, the grindstone 1 can act on the workpiece 3 always as a sharp cutting edge without being coaded.
