PURPOSE:To reduce energy consumption and to improve the controllability by controlling the load of a refrigerator with the temp. of the condensate of a distillation tower when the condensing part of the distillation tower is cooled by using a refrigerant cooled by the refrigerator. CONSTITUTION:The steam drawn off from the upper part of a distillation tower is cooled by a condenser 4, and the condensate is refluxed. The temp. of a liq. is detected by 5, and compared with the set temp. in a controller 3. The load of a refrigerator 2 is changed so that the temp. of the liq. may be equal to the set temp. Concretely, the load of a compressor of freon and ammonia is changed. A signal to change the load of the refrigerator is outputted so that the liq. temp. may be equal to the set temp. A refrigerant is vaporized in the condenser and the steam from the upper part of the distillation tower is condensed.
