The said block 1 is formed by a hollow straight parallelepiped 3 and, on its external longitudinal alignment face 4, by an oblique parallelepiped 5 which is offset downwards; this offsetting forms a heel 6 which positions the said block 1 in the direction of the wall thickness. The transverse alignment surfaces 7 and 8 of the straight parallelepiped comprise, on one side, an expansion gap 10. One of the corners 13 of the straight parallelepiped 3, on the side of the longitudinal alignment face 4, comprises a vertical recovery groove 14. The external face, longitudinal alignment face 4 of the straight parallelepiped 3, comprises a means acting as collector 15 for recovering dust and/or fluids originating from the block above through the groove 14 of the said block above. The invention may be applied particularly to detached constructions in developing countries or to any other type of construction. <IMAGE>
