<p>PURPOSE:To permit easy handling and to make possible smooth initial operation by concentrating the insoluble part of a methane fermentation liquid, adding water and sodium hydrogencarbonate thereto, supplying the liquid into the other tank and starting freshly methane fermentation in said fermentation tank. CONSTITUTION:The insoluble part of the methane fermentation liquid is concentrated. Water and sodium hydrogencarbonate are added thereto and the liquid is supplied into the other tank. The fresh methane fermentation is started in said fermentation tank. As a result, the microorganisms necessary for the methane fermentation can be made to small volume and therefore the handling is easy. The damage of the microorganisms owing to osmotic pressure is decreased and the smooth initial operation is made possible by maintaining the pH condition of the fermentation liquid in the stage of starting the operation.</p> |
