The modular wall partition consists of panels (29) attached to each other via their edges (33) and of cover strips (37) which conceal the connections between the various panels (29). The said panels (29) consist of a double wall formed by boards (30 and 31) fixed to a frame (32) and these boards (30 and 31) project on the edges (33) of the panels (29). The cover strip (37) is made of a flexible material and is provided with two longitudinal notches (39) which slide under the projecting edges (38) of the boards (30 or 31). It will advantageously comprise a glass filament arranged longitudinally in order to prevent the cover strip from being removed after fitting. <IMAGE>
