<p>PURPOSE:To aim at enhancing the accelerating characteristic of an engine, by shifting the operating timing of a control valve upon abrupt acceleration of an engine toward the higher gas amount side from the operating timing thereof upon normal operation of the engine. CONSTITUTION:A control valve 22 does not at once open even if an accelerator is depressed to initiate a rapid accelerating operation and the amount of intake- air exceeds a predetermined value, accordingly. Exhaust gas is introduced through a first branch passage 5A alone. The control valve 22 opens after a predetermined time, forecasting a time difference between the increment variation of intake-air amount and that of exhaust gas amount and a time delay until the flow resistance of exhaust gas stream affects upon the output of the engine.</p> |
