PURPOSE:To provide a composition for oral cavity application, by using a hydroxyalkylcellulose such as hydroxyethylcellulose as a binder in combination with polyethylene glycol as the dispersant thereof. CONSTITUTION:A composition for oral cavity application is produced by using a hydroxyalkylcellulose in combination with a polyethylene glycol, especially a polyethylene glycol which is liquid at normal temperature, particularly having an average molecular weight of 300-400. Even a hydroxyalkylcellulose is used as the binder, the hydroxyalkylcellulose can be dissolved without forming undissolved lumps, and a composition having excellent handleability and smooth and beautiful surface can be produced. Since the hydroxyalkylcellulose can be used effectively as the binder, it can be compounded to the composition without lowering the storage stability of the composition. |
