PURPOSE:To enable dredging to be effect rapidly and in a large quantity, by a method wherein a suction bucket is vertically movably and horizontally movably installed to the forward end of a vertically rockable boom on a suction type dredger, and during dredging by means of rolling of a ship hull, the bucket is pointed to a dredging direction. CONSTITUTION:A boom 12 is vertically rockably mounted to the bow of a dredging barge 1, and a bucket 13 is vertically rockably and horizontally movably attached to the forward end of the boom 12. The bucket 13 is coupled with a suction forced feed tank unit 20 of a barge 1 through a flexible pipe. When the barge 1 slews in a fan-shaped manner centering around the spud of the stern, the bucket 13 is rotated in a slewing direction to effect dredging. This enables dredging to be effected rapidly and in a large quantity. |
