The invention relates to a device for welding a plastic pipe into a plastic fitting. So that, during plastication of the plastic parts to be joined to one another by means of heating elements, the same joint depth is always set on both plastic parts, the invention provides for one clamping apparatus to be fixed immovably to the frame and for the other clamping apparatus to be fixed to the frame so as to be adjustable to a limited extent by means of the adjustment apparatus, for at least two drive rods to be arranged in the adjustable clamping apparatus around the clamping receptacle for the plastic part and to be adjustable to a limited extent axially and parallel to the adjustment direction of the clamping apparatus, for those ends of the drive rods projecting from the adjustable clamping apparatus on the side facing away from the fixed clamping apparatus to be restricted in their adjustment by means of end stops fixed to the frame, in the direction away from the fixed clamping apparatus, and by means of their own drive stops, in the direction towards the fixed clamping apparatus, for those ends of the drive rods projecting out of the adjustable clamping apparatus, on the side facing the fixed clamping apparatus, to be designed as holding receptacles for fixing the heating elements, axially immovably and aligned with the clamping apparatuses, to the drive rods and, as end stops, to restrict the adjustment of the heating elements in the direction towards the fixed clamping apparatus and for the heating element facing the adjustable clamping apparatus and/or for those ends of the drive rods facing the adjustable clamping apparatus to be provided with drive stops which restrict the adjustment of the heating elements in the direction towards the adjustable clamping apparatus. |
