A sample-reagent mixture (32) is formed by introducing the sample and at least one reagent into a cell (1). In order to reduce the expenditure on work and material the sample-reagent mixture is moved in a stationary cell (1) in such a way that the mixture flows to and fro about a sharp edge (3) projecting into the cell, and this results in formation of a clot (33) on this edge. <IMAGE>
