PURPOSE:To positively detect extraordinary combustion and to stop the combustion by making larger a burner port opposing a flame rod than another burner port, providing an equalizing plate between a vaporization cylinder and a burner head, and opening more small holes of the equalizing plate on the burner port side opposing the flame rod than those on the other sides. CONSTITUTION:A mixed gas within a vaporization cylinder 2 flows more in quantity to the side of a burner port 19a facing a flame rod 14 of a burner head 19 because small holes 18a of an equalizing plate 18 open in eccentrically tot he side of the flame rod 14. Since the burner port 19a opposing the flame rod 14 of the burner head 19 is made larger than another burner port 19b, the mixed gas flows more in quantity through the burner port 19b than that flowing through the other burner port. Upon the reduction of the combustion air and in the state of oxygen deficiency, even when normal combustion is held is another burner port 19b, yellow combustion appears in the burner port 19a opposing the flame rod 14. This reduces the quantity of generated ions and the current of the flame rod 14, and stops the operation of a pump to stop the combustion. |
