PURPOSE:The titled degradation-resistant resin excellent in flow, fixability and offset resistance and free from blocking, obtained by copolymerizing an alpha,beta-unsaturated polymerizable monomer with a nitrile group-containing liquid polybutadiene. CONSTITUTION:Butadiene is radical-copolymerized with acrylonitrile in the presence of a polymerization initiator and a chain transfer agent to obtain a nitrile group-containing liquid polybutadiene (B) terminated with a vinyl- polymerizable functional group (e.g., acrylic vinyl group) and having an acrylonitrile content of 0.05-30wt% and a viscosity of 100,000-600,000cP (at 27 deg.C). An alpha,beta-unsaturated polymerizable monomer (A) such as styrene or n-butyl (meth) acrylate is addition-polymerized with component B in the presence of an initiator such a a peroxide or an azo compound to obtain a binding resin for a developer, comprising a polymer having a component B content of 0.005-30wt%. |
