PURPOSE:To restrict the conveyance quantity for each direction at merging points and automatically transfer the restricted value for each conveyance quantity by storing multiple combinations of restricted values of the conveyance quantity for each conveyance direction at the merging points in the control device of a carrier conveyor having the merging points. CONSTITUTION:The conveyance quantity Q1<x> in the conveyance direction at a merging point (i) on a conveyance route is determined, and the restrictive condition for the conveyance quantity is evaluated. The restrictive condition for the conveyance quantity in the (a) direction and (b) direction at the merging point (i) is effected when Q1<x=0 for the case 3, and when Q1<x=Q1<xa> for Q1<x>>0, for example, such evaluation is performed for all merging points, and if all are satisfied, expected transit times in that direction are generated in the ascend ing order of times. According to this constitution, the stagnation of a conveying system can be avoided and the availability factor can be improved. |
