PURPOSE:To minimize temperature dependability of an offset voltage, in a magnetic rotating sensor equipped with a magnetic resistor on an insulative substrate, by installing a temperature compensating dummy pattern in the neighborhood of a magnetic detecting unit. CONSTITUTION:A detecting unit 2 composed of a film-like magnetic resistor changing its electric resistance depending upon a magnetic field on the surface of an insulative substrate 1 and reference signal detecting unit RA and increment signal detecting unit RB are formed by internal wiring with a distributed pattern of wire 3 between it and terminal 4. And, a heat-generating dummy pattern 5 compensating the temperature distribution in the neighborhood of this unit RA is installed. Further, the pattern of the unit RB is so arranged that it compensates change of the temperature distribution caused parallel to the terminal arrangement and thus higher effect can be achieved.
