The object of the invention is to provide an axial securing means for a bearing bush in an eye of the yoke of a joint which guarantees that, for a given rotational diameter, the bearing bush is gripped in an optimum way in the eye of the yoke or, for a given torque capacity, allows a reduction in the rotational diameter and permits reliable support of the bearing bush in the axial direction. In addition, a bearing bush of simple configuration with a thin wall, the thickness of which is determined solely by the loading arising, is to be used. To achieve this object, the annular groove (11) arranged in the eye (15) of the yoke is designed as a continuous turned groove (9) open towards both outer sides of the joint, and the retaining ring (3) is provided on its end pointing towards the outer side of the joint with an all-round shoulder (4) pointing radially inwards and, on its end pointing towards the centre of the joint, with two shoulders (16) of partially annular design, lying symmetrically with respect to one another and pointing radially outwards, and the turned grooves (9) are larger in their chord length by a small amount than the chord length of the shoulders (16), and the retaining ring (3) is installed by introducing it by its outward-pointing shoulders (16) into the turned grooves (9) and moving it into the securing position by a rotation through 90 DEG , engaging around the base (10) of the bearing bush with its all-round shoulder (4), the retaining ring ...
