Industrially fabricated element for producing single-shell roofs and facade claddings

Conventional, manually fabricated pitched roofs comprise a number of individual layers which fulfil different functions such as load-bearing, sealing and insulating. According to the invention, these functions are fulfilled by one structural element. A joint connection provided diagonally over the cross-section of the insulating-material panel ensures sealing against rain and wind. On the upper side of this panel, a ventilated covering panel is arranged which is resistant with respect to weathering influences and mechanical loading and is connected to the insulating-material panel via flexible pins. This system is also suitable for wall claddings, in particular under conditions often exposed to heavy rain. The insulating panel alone, without the covering panel, can also be introduced beneath conventional roof-covering materials, fastening being effected either conventionally by means of counter-batten and roof batten or by fastening means embedded in the insulating-material panel.
