PURPOSE:To enable contact with the top face of a copying machine with a uniform contact pressure without being affected by the deflecting deformation of an opening device by rotatably suspending and holding the position of center of gravity of an original paper feeding device, on the opening member. CONSTITUTION:When an original-paper feeding device 2 is rotatingly opened or closed with an opening device 3 as a fulcrum by means of a hand grip 14, the original-paper feeding device 2 rotates in the same direction as the opening and closing direction over the range of a long hole 10 with respect to the opening member 7 of the opening device 3. Thereby, the original-paper feeding device 2 is rotatably suspended and held with its center of gravity being supported by a rotatably supporting shaft 8, at the terminal position in its closing direction. Accordingly, even if a deflecting deformation is produced in the opening member 7, the original paper feeding device 2 can be brought in contact in parallel with a platen glass at the position of its end of closing.
