By means of a special underframe with an appropriate fastening, it is possible to convert used (or even new) car or aeroplane seats into seating furniture. In a special embodiment, the underframe consists of two tubular steel frames which are connected to one another via transverse struts. Two bearing rails running parallel to the side parts rest on two transverse struts by means of adjustable supports, on which bearing rails the car seat is attached to the underside of the cushion.
