Apparatus for format punching and for the simultaneous hole punching of fibre-reinforced cement slabs and similar material, comprising a punching press in the form of a platen press having an upper tie bar with press platen, having an upper tool which is fastened thereon and has punching knives and piercing mandrels, having a lower press table and a lower tool with hole-punching dies, and comprising a loading and emptying device which exhibits punching bases which are driven in circulation, are used at the same time as loading bases and have cutouts allocated to the piercing mandrels and the hole-punching dies. The punching bases are designed as conveying carriages and are guided on running rails and connected to conveyor chains, it being possible, furthermore, to guide said punching bases with the slab blanks cyclically in and out of the punching press and to lower them onto the lower tool, the hole-punching dies being introduced into the cutouts. In the region of the stamping press, the conveyor chains can be uncoupled from the individual punching bases which, as a result, can be displaced on the running rails for adjustment purposes. On the end, adjusting devices which can be pivoted in and out are arranged on the upper tie bar. <IMAGE>
