The invention relates to fastening pieces for orthodontic and oral surgical treatment, for example root pins and brackets, especially adhesive brackets on a net base. During this, the intention is to apply a coating which, on the one hand, neutralises the different electrolytic potentials of the alloys and is electro-positive in the electrochemical series and, in addition, withstands the high abrasive forces arising in the mouth. This is achieved by application of titanium nitrite on all sides, preferably by ion plating in the mu range, diffusion into the construction materials taking place by vapour deposition. <IMAGE>
