The invention relates to a sintered material composite with a steel matrix, formed by hot-isostatic pressing of a powder mixture of 50 to 95% by volume of hot-work tool matrix steel of a composition of 0.3 to 0.5% by weight of C, 0.25 to 1.0% by weight of Si, 0.5 to 1.0% by weight of Mn, 1.5 to 6.0% by weight of Cr, 0.5 to 3.5% by weight of Mo, 0.2 to 1.0% by weight of V, 1.0 to 9.0% by weight of W, and unavoidable impurities, the remainder being iron with 50 to 5% by volume of one of sintering materials TiC, Al2O3, B4C and VC.
