A linkage for the operation of a control element of an internal combustion engine in a motor vehicle with rotatable bearing of one linkage part in a vehicle part is described. In order to prevent bucking of the internal-combustion engine in the case of linkages with low friction, friction surfaces which bear on one another with a certain degree of preloading and which generate a moment of friction of predetermined magnitude when the linkage is operated, are arranged between the linkage part and the vehicle part.
