摘要 P-N compounds are prepared by reacting phosphorus halides with NH3. In examples, POCl3 is reacted with NH3 in CHCl3 at - 5 DEG C. to give a mixture of PO(NH2)3 and NH4Cl, the mixture being optionally (a) treated with Et2NH to remove NH4Cl; PO(NH2)3 is heated at 400 DEG C. to give a water-insoluble material with evolution of NH3; NH3 is passed through chlorophosphonitrile in benzene at 0-5 DEG C. to give a white precipitate, which is optionally heated at 350 DEG C. and the product washed with water to remove water-soluble matter; PCl3 is reacted with NH3 in benzene at 0 DEG C. to give a white ppt., and PCl5 may be substituted for the PCl3. PSCl3 is also mentioned as a reagent. It is stated that PxNxCl2x.yNH3 is obtaine initially from (PNCl2)x, PX3.nNH3 from PX3, PX5.mNH3 from PX5 and P(Z)X3.nNH3 from P(Z)X3, where x and y are >3, n is 2-6, m is 2-10, X is halogen and Z is O or S, and that any of these products give on heating phospham (PH2H, P3N5) or phosphorylnitrile (PON).ALSO:Compounds of formula <FORM:1090155/C2/1> where R is halogen, alkyl or nitro, and n is 0-2, are made by reacting the corresponding hydroxybenzoic acid, or its alkali, alkaline earth or ammonium salt, with a P-N compound prepared by reacting a phosphorus halide with NH3. In a modification, the acid is reacted successively with the phosphorus halide and NH3, and the product heated. Exemplified successively with the phosphorus halide and NH3, and the product heated. Exemplified products are: 2-, 3- and 4-HOC6H4CN; 2,3- and 2,4-HO(Me)C6H3CN; 3,4- and 4,3-HO(NO2) C6H3CN; 3,4-Cl(HO)C6H3CN and 3,5,4-Cl2 (HO)C6H2CN.
