PURPOSE:To prevent a large quantity of gas discharge die to the damage of piping or attached apparatus by providing a projection placed at a distance from and opposite to a control disk inside a gas inlet port. CONSTITUTION:When gas is charged, high pressure gas flows in the reverse direction to depress downward a control disk 10 against a coil spring 13, so that the gas passage area between the control disk 10 and a projection 17 is widened to enable the charging of gas. During the use of gas, if any abnormality such as the sudden rise in the gas pressure inside the gas container due to the trouble of gas apparatus and the like occurs, the pressure difference between the upper and the lower parts of valve port becomes large, and consequently a lifter 7 receives buoyancy due to gas flow. Thus, the lifter 7 is lifted up against the springs 11 and 12, so that an auxiliary valve 9 is brought closely into contact with the lower side 3a of a valve seat 3 to prevent the discharge of gas from an exhaust port 5.
