PURPOSE:To manufacture inexpensively and effectively the titled steel sheet superior in hot workability and corrosion resistance, by heating steel contg. specified ratios of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, N, Cu, Ca, before hot rolling it. CONSTITUTION:Stainless steel is prepd. from main constituents of <=0.15% C, <=1.5% Si, 6.0-13.0% Mn, <=3.0% Ni, 14.0-19.0% Cr, 0.05-0.20% N, 1.0-3.5% Cu, 0.001-0.005% Ca by weight, and the balance substantially Fe with inevitable impurities. The steel slab is heated, hot rolled and said plate is cold rolled once or >=2 times interposing intermediate annealing and annealed finally. Thereat, the slab is heated to 1,050-1,200 deg.C range before hot rolling. By this way, the titled steel sheet superior in mechanical property is obtd.
